Overview
Training Stack ("the App") is a fitness tracking application that helps you track running workouts and strength training. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the App accesses and how it is used.
Data We Access
Health & Fitness Data (via Apple HealthKit)
The App reads the following data from Apple Health:
Running and walking workouts (distance, duration, pace, route)
Heart rate data
Step count
VO2 Max
Resting heart rate
Heart rate variability
Sleep data
Active energy burned
Elevation data
The App writes the following data to Apple Health:
- Strength training workouts
Purpose: This data is used to display your fitness statistics, track progress, analyze training patterns, and help you plan future workouts.
Location Data
The App may request location access to:
Provide local weather forecasts and running conditions
Display weather information on share cards
Purpose: Location is used solely to fetch weather data for your area. Your location is not tracked, stored, or transmitted to any server.
Photos
The App requests permission to save images to your photo library when you create and export share cards.
Purpose: This allows you to save workout summary images to share on social media or with friends.
Data Storage
All your fitness data is stored locally on your device. Training Stack does not have servers and does not transmit your personal data to any external service.
Workout history is stored on your device
Training plans are stored on your device
Exercise statistics are stored on your device
No account creation is required
No cloud sync or backup to external servers
Data Sharing
We do not share your data with anyone.
No data is sold to third parties
No data is shared with advertisers
No data is transmitted to external servers
No analytics or tracking services are used
The only way your data leaves the App is when you explicitly choose to share a workout card image via the iOS share sheet.
Third-Party Services
Training Stack uses the following Apple services:
Apple HealthKit: To read and write fitness data
Apple WeatherKit: To fetch weather forecasts
Apple MapKit: To display route maps (data processed locally)
These services are provided by Apple and are subject to Apple's privacy policy.
Children's Privacy
Training Stack does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The App does not require any personal information to function.
Data Retention
Since all data is stored locally on your device:
Data persists until you delete the App
You can delete the App at any time to remove all stored data
HealthKit data remains in Apple Health unless you delete it there
Your Rights
You have full control over your data:
Access: View all your data within the App
Delete: Remove the App to delete all locally stored data
HealthKit: Manage HealthKit permissions in Settings > Health > Data Access
Export: Export your health profile data as JSON from within the App
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
